In December Petr Yan (13-1) will fight against Urijah Faber (35-10) from the top 15 UFC lightweight rating. The fight will become part of the UFC245 tournament, which will be held on December 14 in Las Vegas. For Yan, this fight will be his sixth outing at UFC.

“Fiber is a big name. My team has been working on this meeting for a long time. Everyone who is above me now, for various reasons, cannot fight me. I know that Faber asked good money for our fight, I know that he wants a belt fight. Let's see if he deserves it more than me. The tournament in Las Vegas will be the final this year, there will be three title fights at once. There will be increased attention to it,” said Yan.

The fight between Yan and Faber was approved tonight. The American has been fighting at UFC since 2011 and had 17 fights in the organization, 11 of which he won. Four times he fought for the title, but each time lost. Nevertheless, he is included in UFC Hall of Fame.
