In the main event of the evening in Las Vegas former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision win over Otto Wallin (20-1, 13 KOs).
Initially, the fight started with the advantage of the Englishman, who cleverly outboxed his opponent, using the advantage of speed and anthropometry.
But in the course of the fight things have changed dramatically in the third round, when the Swede was able to open a bad cut on Fury's forehead with a left hook. Fury started to bleed heavily which could bring him to a defeat by technical knockout, and Fury started boxing a lot worse, and his actions appeared nervous. The situation further aggravated than Fury received another cut in the fourth round.
Before the start of the seventh round the referee in the ring Tony Wicks asked doctor to examine wounds of Fury. In desperation, Fury went for broke, and when it seemed that he was close to stoppage victory, especially in the eleventh round, in the final round the British missed a powerful hook. Fury had to save himself in the clinch, but before the final bell he was able to land a few blows himself.
According to the results of twelve rounds the judges counted it as 118-110, 117-111 and 116-112 in favor of Tyson Fury that on February 22 will have a rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs).
