Brown lost to Pascal

At the evening of boxing at the Barclays Center arena, former light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (34-6-1, 20 KOs) scored an unexpected victory by technical decision over previously unbeaten Marcus Brown (23-1, 16 KOs) and won the interim WBA belt and the WBC silver belt.

Brown was knocked down once in round four and twice in round seven. The duel ended in the middle of the eighth round due to a cut over the left eye of Brown after an accidental headbut. The scores were: 75-74 three times.

Before the battle the odds for 36-year-old Pascal's win were 23 to 1.
