The interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier shared his opinion about his future opponent, the Russian champion of the organization Khabib Nurmagomedov: “I do not see any obvious holes in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s defense, but I am ready to make them. No one is perfect. You can defeat anyone,” said Dustin to ESPN.
UFC plans to make a duel between Nurmagomedov and the interim champion of the organization on September 7 in Abu Dhabi.
Poirier in his last fight won the interim championship belt, winning by unanimous decision over the bantamweight champion of the organization Max Holloway.
Nurmagomedov last went to Octagon in October 2018 and won in the fourth round over the former champion of the organization in two weight categories Conor McGregor. The fight ended in a scuffle, for which Nurmagomedov was disqualified, which led to a fight for an interim title.
