Former world champion in two divisions, Danny ‘Swift’ Garcia (35-2, 21 KOs), after one-sided seven rounds, broke the resistance of Adrian Granados (20-7-2, 14 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the arena of Dignity Health in Carson, California.
Granados came out, actively working with a jab, adding right hands to it, while Garcia slowly swayed in the attack. In the second round, Granados managed to deliver two right hands, but Garcia replied and sent the opponent to the floor with his left hook. Granados got up, but fell on the canvas for the second time after the right hand. Garcia continued to dominate in the third round, breaking the opponent's nose, but Granados steadfastly held on. In the fourth round, Garcia has already beaten Granados on will.
Granados was on the floor for the third time in the fifth, and the bout took one-sided turn in the sixth. In the middle of the seventh round, a series of heavy hits convinced the referee Thomas Taylor to stop the fight at 1:33.
