Lomachenko knocks Crolla out in the fourth

WBA and WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KOs) scored an early victory in the fourth round over the former world champion and mandatory challenger for one of his titles Anthony Crolla (34-7-3, 13 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The time was 0:58.

From the very beginning of the fight, Crolla behaved extremely passively in the ring, and Lomachenko went forward from the first minutes, constantly putting pressure on his enemy. Lomachenko began to land accurate and heavy hits on the body and to the head, and by the second round, Crolla had bleeding from the nose.

At the end of the third round, Crolla was locked up at the ropes, began to miss blow after blow, and the referee in the ring Jack Reiss intervened between the boxers, but, as it turned out, only to give Crolla a standing knockdown. Lomachenko at this moment already jumped on the ropes and began to celebrate the victory, and representatives of the local sports commission appeared into the ring.

During the break, Lomachenko Sr. asked Vasyl to "calm down" and "look where he punches."

In the fourth round it turned out that the referee would be better to stop the meeting in the previous round. The right hook to the head sent Crolla in a heavy knockout on the floor of the ring face down.

After the fight, Lomachenko thanked his doctor, Neil ElAttrache, who performed the surgery on his right shoulder, which now works "100%." Lomachenko also said that he would like to meet Mikey Garcia in the future.

Before the fight, the chances of winning Lomachenko were rated as 100 to 1.

Lomachenko went to battle in a robe with the inscription "Billionaire." Crolla’s nickname is "Million dollar." Anthony went to a duel in the black and yellow colors of the local Los Angeles Lakers basketball team.
