Former world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin commented on the contract with DAZN streaming platform for six fights he’s sighed recently.
“I was a free agent, and DAZN provided me with the best platform. I think that in the future, DAZN will be home to all boxers. It is not a secret that I had offers from other companies. Now I have a partner who will allow me to promote fighters from GGG Promotions and me as a fighter. And this is not only Kazakhstan. I'm talking about young fighters from Eastern Europe and Asia. Look at Manny Pacquiao. Who would have thought that a guy from the Philippines could become a superstar?
“People understand that there is a lot of politics around titles. The idea is not to collect all the belts, but to become the best. And sometimes boxers with belts are not the best,” Golovkin said.
