It seems that on May 18 there will be no fight between Oleksandr Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs) and Alexander Povetkin (34-2, 24 KOs). However, boxers are likely to perform within one evening in Chicago.
According to Eddie Hearn, who is organizing the evening in Chicago, Usyk's team wanted to meet Povetkin in May, but the Russian, who lost in September by knockout to Anthony Joshua, wanted to fight another rival first, and now the fight between Usyk and Povetkin will not happen earlier than fall.
In May, Usyk may cross his gloves with Carlos Takam (36-5-1, 28 KOs), and Povetkin could meet Michael Hunter (16-1, 11 KOs). In the United States this boxing event will be held on the DAZN platform.
