Another candidate for the fight against WBC light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk (16-0, 13 KOs) has appeared. Promoter Bob Arum said in an interview that in the next fight “The Nail” may meet the French boxer Doudou Ngumbu (38-8, 14 KOs).
Ngumbu spent his last fight on May 25 in Toulouse, France and defeated the Swiss Johann Kongolo (13-1, 5 KOs). Gvozdyk will hold his next fight on March 30 in Philadelphia, USA.
Swede Sven Fornling (15-1, 7 KOs) was also named as the possible candidate for the fight with the Ukrainian. After the voluntary defense of his belt Gvozdyk must face Marcus Browne (23-0, 16 KOs).
