Rob Brant won the world title on October 20 last year, when he defeated Ryota Murata, taking away his WBA regular belt. As for Baysangurov, Khasan had a previous bout in October 2018, when he beat Paul Velenzuela by unanimous decision. Khasan is the younger brother of former junior middleweight world titlist Zaurbek Baysangurov (29-1, 21 KOs), who retired in 2014. For Khasan this fight will be the first in the United States. In most cases, he performed on the territory of Ukraine.
