WBO Oriental lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk (9-0, 6 KOs) says he’s ready to go down in weight for the fight for the world champion's belt. “I told my promoter Alexander Krassyuk that I was ready to go down to 130, in the super featherweights and compete immediately for the title with any opponent,” said Olympic silver medalist Berinchyk.

“I think it will be difficult. It will need more time and more health food. Everything will have to be under control. Specialists are needed so that they correctly lead me to the new weight category, and then I will feel fine. But I don’t have to sit on the bench for half a year to spare in the lightweights.

“Moreover, Vasyl Lomachenko won the WBO belt, according to the version I used to move on. Should I keep for the same weight? Well, that if Lomachenko leaves, changes, will not defend. I don’t think that the global public will need a battle of Berinchyk from the top 15 with Lomachenko,” said Berinchyk.
