WBA and WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko shared his impressions of the victory over Jose Pedraza last Saturday in New York. For the first time in his career Lomachenko combined two titles in the same weight category.

"I am happy, because now I am one step closer to the realization of my dream. The next step is the next title. I want to thank Pedraza and his team, they did a very good job. People forget that I fought a two-time world champion, and even in different weight categories. He is an experienced guy who knew very well what to do in the ring. And, perhaps, he was not so much trying to win as he was just trying to survive. He fought the whole fight in survival mode," said Lomachenko.

Lomachenko admitted that he was not thinking about raising the weight category so far, because the rivals are too big for him in the lightweights. In 135 Lomachenko spent only two fights and won two belts.

“Now the super lightweights is too big for me. I feel that my rivals are much bigger than me here. But let's see how it will be. Now I'm focused on this weight,” Lomachenko said.

The plans for Lomachenko include the unification of all titles in lightweights, battles with the best boxers from different weight categories, as well as with those who do not know how to keep their mouths shut.

"Unify all the titles in lightweight and fight with those fighters who talk too much. I want to fight those who talk too much. I meant Gervonta Davis. Am I ready to go down in 130? Everything is being discussed. Actually, it is not so important. You need to see what options are there. There is also WBC champion Miguel Berchelt, he also says about coming to the lightweights. So he is also one of the options", Lomachenko said.
