Mayweather and Nasukawa to fight by rules of boxing

The fight between American boxer Floyd Mayweather and Japanese kickboxer Tensin Nasukawa will be held according to the rules of boxing. The fight will take place in Japan, it will consist of three rounds of three minutes. Mayweather and Nasukawa put on eight-ounce gloves and will fight in welterweight without the judges. The result of the fight will not be taken into account neither in boxing ratings, nor in mixed martial arts (MMA) ratings. The 20-year-old kickboxer will be the first Japanese fighter to enter the ring against Mayweather.

Earlier it was reported that the battle will take place according to the rules of MMA. Mayweather later said that he did not give consent to such a fight.

41-year-old Mayweather has 50 victories in 50 fights, which until recently was a record. He became a champion in five weight categories. In the last boxing match on August 26, 2017, an American beat by TKO Irish Conor McGregor. Nasukawa had 4 fights in MMA, having won them all.

Floyd Mayweather and Tensin Nasukawa will meet at the Rizin tournament on December 31.
