Stevenson's promoter: Adonis is still in coma

Yvon Michel the promoter of former light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson spoke about the state of his fighter. After the defeat to Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Stevenson was hospitalized and put into a medical induced coma to reduce swelling from cerebral haemorrhage.

“Adonis continues to be in the intensive care unit in a medical coma. His condition is stable. Please note that by agreement with the family no additional comments will be published in the near future. Thank you for letting Mr. Stevenson’s family survive this test in solitude,” Michel wrote in his Instagram.

The bout of Gvozdik against Stevenson ended with a knockout in the 11th round.
