In the main event of the evening in Monaco, in the battle for the cruiserweight WBA title Denis Lebedev (32-2, 23 KOs) defeated Mike Wilson (19-1.8 KOs) by unanimous decision.

From the very beginning of the battle, the 39-year-old Lebedev had an advantage over the previously unbeaten, though not very strong contender. Lebedev successfully counterattacked and hit the body well. In the end, Wilson tried to change the course of the duel, but the experienced Lebedev was too tough for him.

As a result, the judges scored it 117-111, 119-109, 119-109 for Lebedev. The former champion won convincingly, but he was not particularly impressive. The Russian team has repeatedly voiced the desire to meet with the owner of the "full-fledged" WBA belt Olexandr Usyk, but it is not known yet whether the Ukrainian will remain in this weight category or will go up to the heavyweights.
