Karakhanyan is dismissed from ACB, the result of his fight with Nagibin changed to ‘no contest’

The meeting of the Athletic Commission on the results of ACB 90 resulted in the sanctions applied to the participants of the tournament Timur Nagibin, Georgi Karakhanyan and Mukhumat Vakhayev.

The disciplinary committee included Herb Dean, chief referee of ACB Athletic Commission, Li Doyle, organization’s vice president, Alexei Yatsenko, league commentator, Brian Lacy, ACB chief referee 90, Cesar Wojciechowski, tournament judge Viktor Korneev, and event physician Lema Musayev.

“By Timur Nagibin’s petition: the suspension will be upheld. Georgi Karakhanyan: for the blatant unsporting behavior shown before the fight and during it, for the simulation and the attempt to mislead the referee, which led to the conflict situations in the cage and at the arena itself - to disqualify, the fight for the ACB 90 is considered invalid (due to the disqualification of both participants) with the result changed to NC. Based on clause 5g of the contract between the promotion and the fighter, the contract should be terminated, fighter dismissed from ACB.”

“Mukhumat Vakhayev: for unsportsmanlike behavior in relation to the opponent during the battle on the ACB 90 - a penalty of 20% of the total amount of the purse,” says ACB press release.
