Usyk knocks Bellew out in the 8th

In the main event of the evening at Manchester Arena, the undisputed cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs) knocked out the former world champion Tony Bellew (30-3-1, 20 KOs) in the eighth round. Usyk managed to pull out a sensational stoppage with an exact right-left and sent Belew flat to the canvas. The time was 2:00. At the time of the stoppage, Bellew was ahead on two judges' scorecards.

Thus, Usyk defended his all four championship belts, and he is expected to rise up to the heavyweights next. And 35-year-old Bellew, as promised, despite the defeat, ends his brilliant career as a professional boxer and “leaves in the sunset” to continue his honeymoon with his wife.
