In the main event of the UFC Fight Night 138 tournament, light heavyweight Anthony Smith overwhelmed with the suffocating reception the former title contender Volkan Oezdemir.

Smith approached the match tactically and in the first five-minute worked on the back foot. Oezdemir seriously put pressure on and conducted a series of strikes near the net, and Anthony tried to clinch in response. Smith managed to withstand the initial onslaught of Oezdemir and get out of the first round without damage.

At the beginning of the second segment of the battle, Smith managed to hurt Oezdemir with a series of blows - Volkan got a nosebleed. Oezdemir decided to answer by transferring to the ground, where he managed to take back and attacked with blows until the end of the round.

In the third round, the fighters seriously slowed down due to fatigue, but this did not prevent Smith from working hard and often delivering punches to the target. Anthony transferred the fight to the ground without any problems, took his back and began to carry out a receptions, but Oezdemir was desperately defending himself and managed to break the hold. However, Smith immediately repeated the trick and Volkan had to tap out.
