UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will receive a percentage from the paid broadcasts of his battle with Conor MacGregor. On October 7 Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight champion title, defeating McGregor with a bare choke submission in the fourth round.

Nurmagomedovā€™s purse for this fight was $2 million, but initially because of the massive brawl after the fight, the Nevada State Athletic Commission withdrawn Nurmagomedovā€™s purse. Later it became known about the return to Nurmagomedov of 50% of the guaranteed purse of $1 million. Also, Nurmagomedov and Macgregor were banned from fights until December 10.

The fight was a record for the UFC in the number of sold pay-per-view broadcasts. About $2.4 million were sold to the tournament. One broadcast cost $90.
