Brant shocks Murata

Ryota Murata (14-2, 11 KO) quite unexpectedly lost to Rob Brant (24-1, 16 KOs) by unanimous decision and lost his regular WBA middleweight title at the boxing evening Las Vegas. At the end of twelve rounds, the judges counted 118-110 and twice 119-109 in favor of Brant.

From the first bell Brant began to dominate the ring due to his activity and speed. The American threw out combinations from lefts and right, and Murata could not oppose anything to the actions of Brant.

The Japanese tried to exert pressure, but simply was all the time a few steps behind. Thus, Murata lost his chance to meet Gennady Golovkin next spring in Japan. It seems that now Brant has more chances to meet a boxer from Kazakhstan next year.
