UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made Conor MacGregor to quit in the main event of the UFC 229 tournament in Las Vegas.

Conor started the fight with active pressure and punches, Khabib responded with a takedown try. At first, the Irishman defended himself perfectly, but ultimately the Russian managed to achieve complete control near the net. Khabib attacked with elbows from above, but did not seriously damage the opponent.

At the beginning of the second round Nurmagomedov managed to hurt MacGregor with a precise punch, the fighters immediately entered into an exchange of blows, which ended with a luxurious takedown from Khabib. On the floor the Russian began to smash the weakened Irishman with hands and elbows to the head and body. It seemed that referee Herb Dean was about to finish the fight, but the Irishman managed to hold out. Then the Russian tried to hold a Kimura armbar, but without success - the Irishman managed to rise to his feet, where he was firmly pressed to the net by Khabib.

In the third round, Khabib decided to box. The blows of an exhausted Irishman no longer carried any force, but the Russians hits were noticeably disturbing Conor. At the end of the round, Khabib confidently controlled his opponent near the net.

In the fourth segment of the battle, Khabib again dragged the Irish to the ground, but this time he did not let him go. The Russian masterfully took back, strangled through the jaw, forcing Conor to tap it out again in his career.
