Helenius knocks Teper out (video)

Former European heavyweight champion Robert Helenius (28-2, 17 KOs) knocked out in the eighth round Erkan Teper (19-3, 12 KOs) in the main event of the evening in German Waldenbuch.

36-year-old Teper tried to put pressure on his opponent from the first round, but the Finn moved around the ring a lot and counterattacked precisely. After several rounds, the German representative began to lose strength, which his opponent took advantage of.

Helenius began to land more often with his power punches, the tonnage of which had accumulated by the eighth round. The Finn landed powerful left hand and sent Teper to the flooring of the ring. Erkan was unable to continue the fight, and for Helenius this victory was one of the most valuable in the last years of his career.

It is worth noting that before the fight Teper was considered the undisputed favorite of this meeting.
