Lomachenko-Pedraza to be postponed for a week

On December 8 at the boxing evening in New York, a unification bout in lightweight between Vasily Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs) and Jose Pedraza (25-1, 12 KOs) will take place. Bob Arum, the promoter of both boxers, informed about the postponement of the fight. Before this fight was planned for the first Saturday of December.

For Lomachenko this fight will be a return to the ring after surgery on the right shoulder. The Ukrainian was injured during the May battle with Jorge Liners. The 30-year-old Lomachenko already returned to training and began to prepare for the next battle.

This December battle will be the unification of WBA and WBO lightweight titles. Lomachenko won his WBA belt by defeating Linares, in turn Pedraza obtained the WBO title after defeating Ray Beltran on August 25.
