Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman, who suffered three losses in the last four fights, was dissatisfied with the fact that the promotion's leadership did not give him a title shot. The middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum are currently taking part in the shooting of the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. It is expected that the meeting of these fighters will take place early next year.

"The management said that it cannot count on me because of my finger problems - I was worried that I would not be able to recover from the operation. Initially, they said that I would fight at the end of the year, after the show, and I answered that I would be ready by that time. They said that they cannot recoup investment in the show, if there is a possibility of my withdrawal from the fight.

“I'm very angry about this, because anything can happen to a fighter. Gastelum and Romero failed the weigh-in, Whittaker also suffered injuries. Something can always happen, not only with me," Weidman said.

A few days ago there was information that Weidman in November will have a rematch against another former champion - Luke Rockhold. Official confirmation of the battle was not announced yet.
