Rumors about this fight emerged two weeks ago, and the matter seems to be developing and approaching realization. Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KO) is shifting to a higher gear in the gym, awaiting his championship opportunity.

The New Zealander, former WBO heavyweight champion from 2016-18, is currently preparing for a 5 on 5 rematch – Queensberry Promotions against Matchroom Boxing. This information was confirmed by his promoter Frank Warren, head of Queensberry.

In the Matchroom team, Eddie Hearn may bring David Allen (24-7-2, 19 KO), as suggested by Warren. Although Hearn would like to bring Deontay Wilder to the UK for Allen, it’s hard to imagine Wilder would risk fighting someone he could lose to at this stage, especially when he wouldn’t earn a fortune.

“Allen is an interesting and very real opponent for Parker. It’s a good fight and a good option for Joseph, who is waiting for the outcome of the Dubois-Usyk rematch. We’ll have to sit down with DAZN and discuss upcoming plans, but this fight could be 5 on 5,” Warren said.
