Undisputed cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) said that faith is what helps him when physical strength is running out in the ring. Usyk  said this in the interview the Inter TV channel:

"My friends went to one 80-year-old woman, talked with her and she says: "I really love boxing, I really love Vasyl Lomachenko and Alexander Usyk. I will be praying on my knees for Alexander all fight.” This is the main thing when people pray for you. Not when they are thumping for you and yelling some incomprehensible slogans or swearing. But when they pray for you. This is the power. We need to develop spiritually. You can be a million percent ready for battle, but if you are not ready morally, you, like a balloon, can be blown away at any moment.

“Once upon a time, Mohammed Ali was told: "You are already an old, decrepit person. You have nothing but faith. " He replied: "Fool, I do not need anything else." The faith leads me forward. It helps when I run out of physical strength. Then I hold the cross in my hand, read the Lord's prayer and go to the end. It is a fire that constantly heats me up when I'm cold, when it's hard for me, when I do not see children for a long time."
