Emelianenko: Sonnen wants to shatter my confidence

Legendary Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko shared his expectations from the fight scheduled for October 13 against Chael Sonnen, and also commented on verbal attacks by his rival.

"I do not pay attention to Chael's statements. I understand that he wants to shatter my confidence, my inner state, but on the other hand, it draws attention to the fight. I do not pay attention to this - the Lord will do everything as best for me and for him.

“I am always very impressed when I hear that people supports me - not only Russians, but also Americans. I'm not superstitious and I do not think that I used to perform poorly in New York. Victory comes irrespective to place or arena, the victory is given by the Lord.

“Recently, UFC has been headed to Russia, but Bellator speaks no less. In Russia there are other organizations, but people are waiting for the UFC, and Bellator as well. Personally, I'm not a fan of the UFC, so, most likely, I will not go there," Emelianenko said.
