Nurmagomedov: "I do not plan to go to the welterweights

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made it clear that he intends to defend his title and is not going to transfer to a heavier division.

"Never say never. Honestly, I have no plans to fight at the welterweights. If you look at things sensibly and correctly, then I'm not big for this weight and all my rivals will have a serious advantage over me. All top fighters in the division up to 77 kg. when they enter the battle they weigh about 88-90 kg. When you fight opponents at such a high level, the difference of 7-8 kg is very big.

"I'm going to continue to campaign at the lightweights. Only if there are no serious proposals in this category, I will think about a fight at the welterweights," Nurmagomedov said.
