Former WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (37-2, 24 KOs) of Ukraine shared his opinion about Vasyl Lomachenko's victory over Jorge Linares on May 12 in New York.

"I'm not an expert or an analyst, I did not count the points, but I really liked the fight. I think that the match was fairly competitive. Linares surprised me, because before the fight I thought that there would be an easier victory for Vasyl, but if it was not for this punch to the liver, I think the fight would last for 12 rounds.

"The victory by knockout did not surprise me, as I thought before the fight that Vasyl would finish him either by TKO, or because of injury. I did not expect that Vasyl would be knocked down. But the thought of a turning point did not arise, since it was just a blow, after which Vasyl was not seriously hurt and quickly recovered.

"Was it a discomfort for Vasyl in the new weight category? Personally, I think it was not. Well, I believe that only this way, moving up in weight and defeating bigger opponents would bring him in the history of boxing and he would be the best P4P fighter! " Senchenko said.
