Briton Callum Johnson (17-0, 12 KOs) may be the next opponent of the IBF light heavyweight champion Arthur Beterbiev (12-0, 12 KOs). IBF obliged the parties to begin negotiations. At the moment, neither the place nor the date of this fight is known.
Last November Beterbiev got a KO victory in the 12th round over the German Enrico Koelling and won the vacant IBF belt, which before belonged to Andre Ward, who decided to retire.
Johnson spent his last fight in March this year, winning in the first round over his compatriot Frank Buglioni.
