WBC: Martirosyan is heavier than Golovkin 30 and 7 days before the fight

Representatives of the World Boxing Council (WBC) stated that Vanes Martirosyan was heavier than Gennady Golovkin at the mandatory weigh-ins for 30 and 7 days before the fight. The fight of Golovkin vs Martirosyan will take place on May 5 in Carson, California.

30 days before the battle, Martirosyan weighed 170 pounds, Golovkin was 165.8 pounds. Seven days before the battle Martirosyan showed a mark of 167.1 pounds, Golovkin - 162.9 pounds.

For the fight against Golovkin Martirosyan rose from the light middleweights, in which he spent most part of his career. For Vanes this is the first fight at 160.
