Belfort: Mayweather does not stand a chance in MMA even against teenagers

Legendary Brazilian UFC fighter Vitor Belfort shared his thoughts about the possible transition of Floyd Mayweather to mixed martial arts.

"I think that Floyd has no chance even in fights with 14-year-olds, 15-year-olds. I do not think that there are options for him in MMA. He must learn a lot in terms of struggle and work with his feet. Floyd is phenomenal in his weight category, but if you add kicks and other elements from MMA - here he will not have a chance.

"I myself would have been happy to meet Mayweather in the boxing ring. Is not he an undefeated champion? I could wear big gloves, and he could wear small."

On May 12, in Rio de Janeiro, Belfort will hold a farewell duel with compatriot Lioto Machida, but at the same time Belfort admits that financially beneficial proposals can force him to pursue his career.

"There are many promotions in the world. There are Russian billionaires and many other organizations where we can talk. Yes, and in UFC there is a lot of money, but they need big tournaments only, which are selling well. Possible fights with Ortiz and Liddell for example."
