Canelo: Golovkin was scared and did not want to fight

Former world champion in two weight categories Saul Alvarez stressed that, in his opinion, Gennady Golovkin did not want to fight in the rematch and was scared. The battle of Alvarez and Golovkin was scheduled for May 5, but was canceled because of the disqualification of Saul from fights because of doping for an indefinite period.

"I do not care about the words of Golovkin or his team. They are neither doctors nor experts, and this is the most important thing. I do not pay attention to their statements. For me, it looks like Golovkin did not want to fight and seeked excuses because he was scared," said Canelo.
