Vadim Kornilov, manager of "World of Boxing" promotion company says that a potential duel between Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin and British Anthony Joshua can be held in Moscow.
March 31 in Cardiff Povetkin will fight with David Price on the undercard of a unification bout between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker. The Russian is a mandatory challenger for the WBA world title, which is now owned by Joshua. This status Povetkin received last December by beating Christian Hammer via unanimous decision.
"Wladimir Klitschko received £ 20m for a fight with Povetkin, so there might be a lot of interest in the fight against Joshua, it's a fight of that magnitude," Kornilov said. "Depending on time, we could collect the football stadium "Luzhniki" in Moskow, this place is of sufficient significance for such a fight. In Russia it could be a massive fight, but in the UK it can be also great, because there are a lot of immigrants from Russia. So holding a fight is possible both in Russia and the UK."
