WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko stressed that starting rounds in the upcoming meeting with Jorge Linares will be the most difficult.
"I'm very pleased that I'm already grown up for a big arena, and Madison Square Garden is my second home. The first in Ukraine, in Oxnard, and now in New York I spend most of my fights. At first I fought at small arenas, and now we have grown for a big one, which I am very happy about.
"The biggest difficulty in the battle with Linares will be the first rounds, when I will have to feel and "scan" my opponent. The first three or four rounds will be the most difficult for me.
"Of course, the training process has changed - the loads and exercises have changed, now we are preparing for a new weight category and a new challenge. I like my current workouts. I always like it when it's hard in training and when after the fight I have no strength to go home, it's a pleasant feeling. But then, when it comes to the battle itself, you realize that you have done all the work and have done everything to get into the ring," Lomachenko said.
