The owner of the UFC light heavyweight title Daniel Cormier shared his opinion about the top heavyweight Alexander Volkov, noting that a weak fight could become a big problem for Russians in three-round battles.

"I think that Volkov is good. He is a real threat to our division. He is a fantastic fighter - he's tall, young and he is able to do his job. He has excellent stamina and good punch. I think that he shows himself better in five-round fights, because he has problems with wrestling and is easily transferred to the ground.

"In three-round fights Cain Velasquez and Curtis Blades will be a big problem for him. In the battle with them Volkov can not just wait, as it was with Werdum. Miocic will also give him serious difficulties.

"The main problem for Volkov is that it is easy to transfer him to the ground. This worries him and he would prefer not to be on the ground, but when this happens he does not panic. We saw how he had to work on the ground with Werdum, and this is not an easy task," said Cormier.
