A veteran of the heavyweight division Dutchman Alistair Overeem will have his next fight against the young American Curtis Blaydes at UFC 225 on June 9 in Chicago.

Overeem (43-16, 1 NC) was severely knocked out by Cameroonian Francis Ngannou in his last fight. Prior to this battle the Dutchman performed twice in 2017, knocking out Mark Hunt and winning by majority decision over Fabrice Werdum.

Blaydes (9-1, 1 NC) is on the winning series of three fights. Last February Curtis got a technical knockout over Adam Milstead, but after the fight failed the marijuana test and the fight was declared no contest. After that, Blaydes made three appearances, successively defeating the veterans Daniel Omelyanchuk, Alexey Oleinik and Mark Hunt.
