The Dutch fighter of Armenian origin Gegard Mousasi told about the injury in a fight against Alexander Shlemenko, stressing that he is not going to hold a second duel with the Russian.

"Before the fight with Shlemenko I was sure that I would win. Nevertheless, at the beginning of the fight, he broke my orbital bone and broke the course of our battle. I no longer adhered to the plan for the fight and after every missed punch I felt that there were serious problems with my eye. I was constantly looking for an opportunity to hold pain or suffocating, because I knew that our fight could be stopped at any moment.

"To the cheaters, who constantly say that Shlemenko beat me, I can answer that I will never give him a rematch. Go to hell. I will take this victory with me to the grave.

"It would be better if I suffered a defeat than this eye injury. After such problems it is very difficult to return to performances, even though after a normal defeat it is possible to return easily. The worst thing in our sport is injuries. In this dangerous sport, you risk your health and you need to be cautious," Mousasi said.
