At UFC 222 in Las Vegas, promising featherweight Brian Ortega stopped veteran Frankie Edgar in the first round.
The beginning of the fight was for Edgar, who traditionally demonstrated an excellent footwork and outperformed his opponent in speed. Frankie landed successful combinations time after time, not allowing his opponent to reach the desired distance.
However, at the end of the first five minutes during one of his attacks Edgar missed a hard elbow punch. Ortega did not miss his prey, and after a successful attack and cutting down his opponent with precise uppercut to the ground the referee stopped the fight after two finishing punches.
