Former world champion 33-year-old Irishman Andy Lee (35-3-1, 24 KOs) announced the ending of his professional career. Lee did not go out into the ring since last March, when he scored an incomprehensible decision victory in the 8-round fight over KeAndrae Leatherwood on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin's fight against Daniel Jacobs.

Team Lee was negotiating for a fight against Daniel Jacobs on April 14 this year, but the parties could not agree on the finances. Last year Lee said that if he did not get a big title fight, he would retire.
