Andrew Karlov Feb. 17, 2018, 3:09 a.m.

In the main event of the evening in American Reno, Nevada, Raymundo Beltran (35-7-1, 21 KOs) got a unanimous decision over former world champion Paulus Moses (40-4, 25 KOs) and won the vacant WBO title in lightweight division. Thus, with the fourth attempt, Beltran managed to become a world champion.

The fight was held in an equal and stubborn struggle, the ending in which was for Beltran. The judges notes were: twice 117-111 and 116-112.

It is possible that his next fight Beltran will have on May 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York against the world champion in the category below Vasyl Lomachenko. For the 36-year-old Beltran, this will be the first defense of his lightweight title.
