Alvarez is ready to backup Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov fight

Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez announced his readiness to replace himself in Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov fight, if one of the participants in this title fight gets injuried.

"The fight between Khabib and Ferguson has already been scheduled for three times, but in the end nothing happened. UFC does not intend to strip McGregor of his title, because they doubt that the fight between Khabib and Tony will take place. All their previous attempts turned into a failure. In my opinion UFC doubts very much that they will manage to make this fight. I will be ready to replace one of these fighters.

"Honestly, I'm not particularly worried about my future. In this sport you can be one of the best fighters in the world or a champion, but tomorrow you can become a free agent. I have no doubt that I will have many offers, but now I am pleased with the agreement I have with UFC. I am confident that our cooperation will continue," said Alvarez.
