UFC top lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia is convinced that Conor McGregor has already been stripped of the championship belt, despite the reluctance of UFC to officially announce it.
"Ferguson still owns an interim title, but in our fight will be a full-fledged belt at stake. During our face-off Tony pointed to my belt, but this is a fake. I'll fight for a real title, I'm not interested in the fake belts.
"Conor is stripped of the champion title, and we will fight for the real belt. I can not understand why journalists are constantly asking White whether he striped Conor or not. Of course, he is already deprived of his status. I'm going to defeat Ferguson and win the belt, and UFC's plans seem to make McGregor the next challenger. I think that he needs to get in line and earn a title chance," Nurmagomedov said.
