White: Nurmagomedov and Ferguson will fight at UFC 223

UFC President Dana White confirmed that the battle between top lightweights Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov will take place at UFC 223 tournament scheduled for April 7th in Brooklyn, USA.

Earlier White said that the champion of the division, Conor McGregor, would be stripped of his belt, as he could not return to Octagon before September. Consequently Ferguson, the current holder of the interim title, will automatically become a full-fledged champion, and the battle with Khabib will be the title fight.
