According to Manny Pacquiao, his team is considering the possibility of a fight in a catch weight with WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko. It is expected that the 39-year-old Pacquiao can return to the ring in April, during a break in his work of the senator in the Philippines. According to Bob Arum, the promoter of Pacquiao, Manny's return could take place on April 21 in one evening with Terence Crawford's potential fight against Jeff Horn for WBO welterweight title.

Arum plans to bring Pacquiao with the winner of the Crawford vs Horn fight in the fall. However, if Pacquiao and Lomachenko teams manage to negotiate the battle, this meeting will not be at one evening with the Crawford vs Horn fight because of the impressive purses for both the fights.

"There are negotiations now about the number one pound-for-pound (boxer) which is Lomachenko," Pacquiao said. "There are still talks on the weight, reducing the weight."

At the moment, Lomachenko appears at 130 pounds, although he announced the possibility of switching to 135. Pacquiao performs at 147. Lomachenko's representatives previously mentioned that they would not like to rise above 135 pounds, and Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's coach, claimed that he would not allow his fighter to go below 140.
