Middleweight Uriah Hall was hospitalized due to an unsuccessful weight loss and will not be able to meet veteran Vitor Belfort at the upcoming UFC Fight Night tournament 124.

Numerous sources report that Hall lost consciousness during the last hours of the weight loss, and was immediately taken to the hospital. In an official statement UFC reported that the bout was canceled due to the inability of Hall to make weight.

Belfort, as expected, very painfully reacted to the cancellation of his farewell:

"I dedicated two months of my life to this training camp. I was away from my family, and my relatives know how difficult it was. I did everything necessary on the way to this fight, and my team worked hard even on holidays and weekends. I fulfilled my obligations and made weight. Unfortunately, during the weight loss my health problems arose with my opponent. I want to wish him a speedy recovery. Now I just want to go home and see my family. Thank you all for your support, I love you," Belfort wrote in his instagram.
