WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol is ready in case of necessity to fight against WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev. On November 25 Kovalev defeated Ukrainian Vyacheslav Shabransky by TKO in the second round and won the vacant WBO title. Bivol was at the ringside.
"I have said many times that I want to unify all the world titles," Bivol said, "This [fight against Kovalev] is not my main goal, but I will not avoid it, but it's probably already far-reaching plans."
Bevol also noted that Kovalev in a fight with Shabransky showed his previous high level. "We saw the old Sergey Kovalev, a tough puncher, and it's a pity that the fight was short, I'm a friend of Slava Shabransky, he's a decent fighter.” Bivol said.
