Dirrell beats Douglin via TD

Former world super middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell (31-1-1, 24 KOs) returned to the ring after a 10-month layoff and beat via technical decision in the sixth round Denis Douglin (20-6, 13 KOs) in the main event of the boxing evening in his native Flint, Michigan.

In the sixth round the referee deducted Douglin for one point for pushing his opponent down. In the same round Dirrell got a cut over his left eye after an unintentional clash of heads, and the fight was stopped. Scores were 49-46, 48-47, 48-47.
