Povetkin vs Hammer winner becomes contender for WBO title

Alexander Povetkin vs Christian Hammer winner will become the official contender for the WBO Heavyweight world title. The manager of Hammer Erol Sailan told this in his recent interview.

The battle between Povetkin and Hammer will be held on December 15 in Yekaterinburg. The WBO world champion is New Zealander Joseph Parker.

"Unequivocally, this fight will determine the challenger for the WBO title. The winner of the fight will meet with Parker," said Seilan.

Hammer is known for his duel with former British world champion Tyson Fury. The battle took place in 2015 and the Romanian boxer lost by knockout.
