Abror Tursunpulatov, who recently became the new coach of former world light heavyweight champion Sergei Kovalev (30-2-1, 26 KOs), noted that before the fight with Ukrainian light heavyweight Vyacheslav Shabransky (19-1, 17 KOs), the Russian will pay special attention to tactical experience and psychology.
"Do we have time to prepare? We have been just discussing this problem. We started training a little later, because Kovalev had camps in the mountains. For the rest of the month I do not promise to change him much, but by the next battle I will be able to make specific adjustments to Sergei's work.
“The training program is as follows: basically we will be engaged in tactical and technical details. Also we will not deprive the attention to psychology. If Kovalev is properly psychologically ready, in battle everything will be fine."
